choreographer and performance artist
Choreographer and performance artist Marjorie Morgan’s work often combines elements of movement, live sound, music, and text. She is particularly fascinated with the territory between composition and improvisation and between narrative and abstraction. Since 1996, Boston critics from the Globe, the Herald, the Phoenix, and Bay Windows have cited her work as being among the city’s top ten dance events. Morgan has performed in projects with Bill T. Jones and Robert Davidson and has danced in the Paula Josa-Jones and Caitlin Corbett dance companies. Recent collaborations include performance works with trombonist Tom Plsek and multimedia performance works with Croatian printmaker Boris Kajmak. Morgan is a member of the Mobius Artists Group and is the artistic director of her performance company, Not Frida.
