Lacy Hale

Lacy Hale is a visual and mural artist living and working in southeastern Kentucky. Her artwork is rooted in her surroundings and focuses on capturing moments and beauty often overlooked. Each moment holds something dear that she wants to treasure and some bit of sadness or beauty about the beloved people and places that she needs to share. She has created murals in several Kentucky cities and is currently completing another. Her work has been shown all over the state of Kentucky and was included in a traveling Smithsonian exhibit in 2012. She attended Pratt Institute of Art in Brooklyn, NY.
Hale serves on the boards of the Kentucky Arts Council and the Appalachian Artisan Center in Hindman, KY. She was a 2015 Nominee for the Joan Mitchell Foundation Emerging Artist Award and a Kentucky Foundation for Women Artist Enrichment Grant recipient.
