Gabrielle Ondine Mertz, Atlanta, GA, is a multidisciplinary artist with a practice that explores contemporary information structures and digital-analog intersections through the use of altered technology, painting, printmaking, moving images, and other forms. She has created exhibitions, performances, and site-specific installations on stages, on tour, and on screen. Exhibitions in the United States/Europe include the Cultural Center of Krakow, New Museum, High Museum, International Dance Festival, Rialto Center for the Performing Arts, and Susquehanna Museum of Art, with commissions/awards from the Cultural Olympiad, Rauschenberg Foundation, Open Society Foundation, City of Atlanta, Center for Artistic Activism, and Netherland-America Foundation. Her work with institutions includes the United Nations, Obama For America, the MacArthur Foundation, the Government of Japan, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Carter Center, the Coalition for the International Criminal Court, and the International Rescue Committee. She has taught/lectured at New York University, Bruce High Quality Foundation University, Emory University, and the Image Film & Video Center.
