Chris Kayser

Chris Kayser is a southern based actor dedicated to classical, contemporary and French Theater. He has worked for five decades at theaters in Atlanta, up and down the East coast, and in France. He was instrumental as a fearless, superbly skilled artist to guide Atlanta from a theater backwater to a major regional force in American theater. He was a company member of the seminal Academy Theater for nine years and a resident artist with Georgia Shakespeare for 25 years. Chris also helped found Théâtre Du Rêve, a French language theater. With Théâtre Du Rêve, he was able to tour theater in France six times. He was cited with the Lexus Leader in the Arts award by the city of Atlanta. He has been named Best Actor by the Atlanta Journal- Constitution, Creative Loafing, and the Suzi Awards. He takes great pleasure in researching a role, planning for rehearsal, and just showing up every day trying to get better along with his colleagues, all the way to the closing performance. He believes that the possibility of change, of redemption, is always present.
