Actor

Chris Ensweiler is a professional actor, voice-over artist, movement teacher and mentor. He received his B.F.A. in Acting from Wright State University and his M.F.A. in Acting from the Alabama Shakespeare Festival PATP. Chris began his career as an Equity actor in Atlanta, where he was a resident actor and Company Manager with Georgia Shakespeare for seven seasons. In Seattle, Chris has performed at ACT, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Intiman, Village Theatre, Seattle Children’s Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Co., Book-It and Taproot Theatre. Regional credits include: Alliance Theatre, Tennessee Shakespeare Co. and Human Race Theatre (Dayton, Ohio). Chris has narrated several audiobooks, including On Borrowed Time by David Rosenfelt, Liberty by Kirby Larson and The Academy series by C.L. Stone. In 2017-18 he played one of the Clowns in The 39 Steps at Village Theatre. He also played MC Dog in Go, Dog. Go! (directed by playwright Steven Dietz) at Seattle Children’s Theatre, played Edmund Tilney and Sir Robert de Lesseps in a production of Shakespeare in Love at Seattle Shakespeare Company and was the Fight Director and Movement/Mask Coach for Moliere’s Don Juan at Everett Community College.

He enjoys sharing his craft through teaching, coaching other professional actors and mentoring young artists. As a theatre collaborator, Chris actively supports his community through audience outreach.
