Bob Devin Jones has been a theater worker for the last fifty years. As a playwright, his work includes “Uncle Bends: a home-cooked negro narrative”, Further Down the Road, and C - a Water Narrative. He directed four August Wilson plays, including King Hedley II and Seven Guitars, as a part of the historic Century Cycle at American Stage. In 2005, Jones founded The Studio@620, an award winning interdisciplinary small non-profit arts organization, where he served as artistic director for twenty years. A Los Angeles native, he has spent the last twenty-six years residing in St. Petersburg with his partner. In 2021, in recognition of his contributions to the arts community, he was awarded a key to the city.
