Thomas Westerfield

Thomas Westerfield, San Francisco, California, is the author of the play Monasteries and the short story collection Goes On, Without the World’s Understanding published by Rattling Good Yarns Press. His writing focuses on the lives of gay males--a boy terrified of his Barbies turning on him in the dark of night or a ninety-six-year-old poet who insists on naming himself "A Magnificent Faggot." Westerfeld’s writing navigates beyond expected tropes of how sexuality, trauma, spirituality, and identity are addressed. His work is sometimes poignant, sometimes provocative, and ideally, always compassionate. He freelances as a writing consultant and a Laughter Yoga Leader.
